Growing older
The little ones are growing rapidly and are eating now everything they can get their teeth on.

Sometimes they have no respect and just sit on other rabbits to get to the goodies.

But at least they don’t fight since there is plenty of food for everyone.

Occasionally Rosie’s babies still try to get a sip of milk from her…

… they wait until she eats some pellets and whoosh speed under her to get some milk!

She doesn’t like that so they go back to their ‘normal’ food…

… and eat with the others.

Rainy day
You sure forgot when there was the last sunny day…
It is now raining for weeks and I would love to have a sun bath…
At least we have a dry hutch
Rosie’s babies always cuddle together to keep them warm.

Sometimes they sneak between their cousins to get some warmth from them ![]()
This babies now started to eat rabbit food, you know, this dried pellets.

Brigitte bought them a casserole dish as a feeder so all rabbits have a space to eat.
Gosh this girls are cute!

Seven!
The babies are growing pretty fast…

… so Christoph made a ‘slide’ so they can go in and out of the hutch as soon as they are curious to discover the world

Mama Emy already made the first check and was very pleased

This weekend we counted the rabbits and found 5 in one nest under the straw…

… and two more babies in the warmer nest with hairs!
So we have seven little ones and next weekend Rosie is due to add some more

Autumn
Crisp windy mornings tell me autumn is here.
Christoph did some work on our roof by the hutch. Rain was dropping in and he fixed it.
As you can see he also removed all the sticks and leaves.

One stick near my hutch was actually walking away!
As I had a closer look I saw it was a female stick insect!

Now that was a surprise!
I guess Rosie wasn’t that much impressed like I was.

She was more interested in the yummy food we got.
Yeah, autumn is beautiful!
Harvest time means there is a lot food from the garden even for us.
So, enough blogging… I go and tuck in… see ya.

A day later
It works!
Christoph had covered the fenced floor with a lot of soil and leaves and especially high in the corners and around the outer side of the fence.
Then in the morning he saw this corner dug free from the leaves BUT the fence on the floor worked!
There was no escape!

Rosie is pretty fed up… she couldn’t believe it and was searching all over the ground for a weak spot to dig out… BUT… as you have seen in the previous post, the boss covered every centimeter…

No worries girls, sooner or later you can visit me in my hutch and I show you how small this thing is!
Summer
Gosh, summer is nearly over and I still feel like I’m on holiday.

There is plenty of fresh food and…

… it is such a wonderful sight to see the girls next to me

Rosie is always giving me one of her heart melting looks…

… ahhhh, she is such a Beauty!

Of course I also show my interest

I guess I have to talk to my ‘Boss’… hm… wouldn’t it be nice to have some cute little ‘Easter bunnies’ hopping around?
Girls, girls, girls!
Today I have finally time to tell you ‘the’ News!
My people went over the hills and brought home to cute girls!

There is a very curious and wild Rosie…

She is Brigitte’s bunny.

And there is Emy who is Aileen’s bunny.

She is more shy and her fur is a little bit darker then Rosie’s.
Since I have my enclosure outside I haven’t seen much of them because they are inside over night.
But every day in the morning they are near me in their own hutch

They are really cute and have a lot of appetite

There are some more pictures and stories about them on the family blog. Please click here when interested.
